20x30 fine art print of Pink Floyd Pig flying over the full moon used by Roger Waters at the Hollywood Bowl on October 8, 2006. Edition 1 of 10

$1,500.00

As with any Pink Floyd or Roger Waters concert concert goers we’ll see several different props fly through the air one of which is the large pink balloon. Typically in a stadium or an arena, the pig balloon will be on a wire, however, at the Hollywood bowl being that the venue was outdoors, and on an angle, the balloon had to be hand carried by three strong individuals, keeping it down from floating away since it’s filled with helium. At one point during the song one of the balloon carriers lost their grip, leaving the other two balloon carriers to hold on as those two started to lift off the ground they let go of their rope as well, letting the balloon shoot up in the sky. Most of the crowd thought it was part of the event with it floating up up up. As an avid concert goer, I knew this was not the case as well. I saw the person lose grip. As the pig floated up in the sky, I could see there was a full moon to the side. I also realized it’s too bad. I can’t get the balloon and the moon in the same frame since they’re far away from each other.  I quickly thought of geometry being a math with myself. I realized if I ran really fast three sections over I could line the moon up with the balloon ascending up. I did just that. And got one frame in focus before I tripped over a step myself.

Once in a lifetime photo that can never be replaced or duplicated.  Days later, it was announced that the balloon was found somewhere near Twentynine Palms, California. There is also a 16×20 & 11×14 size as well.
